In alignment with National Environment Week, a tree planting program was organized on 2026-06-04 at the Gangoda South Grama Niladhari Division of the Udunuwara Divisional Secretariat Division and at Boyagama Maha Vidyalaya. Under this program, the following plants were planted:
– Rubber saplings – 20
– Bee saplings – 20
– Calophyllum saplings – 4
– Ironwood trees – 3
– Jambul saplings – 2

For this event, students and teachers of Boyagama School, Grama Niladhari and divisional officials, local residents, and Mr. Sunil Wickramage, Assistant Director (Agriculture) of the Sri Lanka Land Reclamation and Development Corporation, and Unit Manager Mr. Nadeesha Madumali participated.
