The installation of solar-powered water pumps related to the irrigation system of the chili cultivation model project, implemented in 2025, is being carried out by Deep Tec, selecting 10 farmers from the Galnewa Divisional Secretariat Division in Anuradhapura District under the development programs of the Sri Lanka Heartland Authority. The field inspection for this project was successfully conducted today, 21.06.2026.
Although the farmland suffered severe damage due to heavy rainfall and the ‘Dithwa’ cyclone, all the farmers expressed their agreement to restart this project from scratch.
